On July 4th we celebrated our nation’s 249th birthday. I’m personally praying for revival in our country. I’ve often thought that God might bring revival fires from the jails and prisons across our country. God is doing amazing work in the hearts of the incarcerated and their passion for the Gospel is fanning its flames. God is looking for one spark to start these fires of revival across America that I trust will impact the world for the glory of God!
Our debased culture has moved from truth to relativism, from mutual respect to disrespect, from working to welfare, from unity to discord, from discipline to rebellion, and from law and order to anarchy. Folks, we need revival fires to break out across our land! I want to encourage you prayer warriors, and don’t ever quit praying! Your prayers are mighty for the tearing down of strongholds of every kind. Do you understand the power of prayer that moves the hand of God to the sinner’s plight? God is still changing lives one at a time in the Polk County Jail, the Sheriff’s Office, and around the world. Amen!!
Here’s another example. One of our bilingual volunteers teaches a Bible study to mostly Spanish speaking ICE inmates. One night the Holy Spirit really moved upon the more than twenty inmates in attendance. Ten responded to the gospel and gave their hearts to Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins! Every one of you faithful partners in prayer and financial support makes such a profound difference. These ten are now in the kingdom of God because of your faithful intercessory prayer. Thank you! Praise the Lord!
