Greetings beloved! God is at work around the world to draw all people to Himself. John 6:44 – Jesus said, no one comes to Me unless My Father draws them. Here at the Polk County Jail we are witnessing men and women from all over the world coming to Jesus Christ to find forgiveness and restoration with a holy God. You could say the Father is drawing all peoples from all nations into an intimate love relationship with His Son. We’re so honored to be where God is at work to change lives one at a time . Each of you are in this grand design of God with your prayers and financial gifts. Thank you!
People are so empty without Jesus in their hearts and lives. We all try to use cheap substitutes to fulfill our most basic need to know and worship God. We’ll worship something or someone if we don’t worship Him. When we were created in the image of God, He hard-wired humanity to love and worship Him. God wants our worship to be motivated by love, thanksgiving, and delight, not duty. We were made for a relationship, not to practice religion. Only Christ can fill the void in one’s heart.
So many inmates listen to my testimony and look at me in agreement like I am describing their life. That was one man’s experience as he used drugs to mask pain. So many do just that. Something traumatic looms large over their minds that they just can’t shake. No wonder addiction is rampant in our country. It’s not only illegal drugs, but pharmaceuticals as well. Let’s face it, people are hurting! This guy was. He had tried it all and was still empty. I said, “Do you want to fill the void in your heart and ask Jesus to come in to your life like I did?” His answer was yes, so we prayed and he gave his life to Christ. PTL!!!
The love of God is powerful, and able to reach anyone who calls on His glorious Name! How high, how deep, and how wide is the love and grace of God for us all! Amen!
